Girls Camp

This year I got to take our ward's group of girls up to Heber Valley Camp for our girls camp. It was AWESOME!!! For those of you that haven't been, you need to get on the list and go!! We had cabins, outdoor kitchens with sinks with running water, stoves, showers, electricity; it was FABULOUS!! I don't know how we can ever have a normal & regular girls camp again!! We have an amazing group of young women that accepted me immediately and I grew to love them so much! We were able to spend time out on a beautiful lake in canoes and paddle boats. There was a great ropes course and some fun hiking trails also. Jenny Phillips(who is an lds singer/songwriter) came up and spent an evening with us. What an amazing spirit she has. Music is something that has always had a way of making me feel things. Both good and bad. And I have loved her music since the first time I heard her. Music reaches me in a way that words sometimes can't. It was a wonderful night. Some of the girls even got her autograph! They were very excited about that! I could truly write a novel about the week I spent up there(I practicallly did in my journal)! But I will just end with what an amazing and loving Heavenly Father we have to have created such a beautiful world for us to live in and experience the things we are able to experience. How blessed we are and how grateful I am for all he allows in my life.

Surprise!!!

So this year my Mom turned 50 and I wanted to surprise her and have a party with her family and friends. It was all set to go and then there was a big accident involving a Fed-Ex truck on I-80 that closed the freeway for hours. It looked like the party was going to have to be postponed. But then we heard they had opened lanes and people could finally get in and out of Tooele County. So we called people and told them the party was back on and people began to come out!! Well those lanes of traffic ended up being VERY slow moving lanes and it took some of our family almost 4 hours to get to our house!! I felt awful!! We should've just canceled but how could I have known right?! Well the party turned out great regardless and our weary travelers were fed well and we had a great time visiting before they headed back out for their trek home!! Mom was surprised but wished she would've known so she would've gotten more dressed up for the occasion!! She looked beautiful and we wouldn't have had it any other way.....except for the traffic part, but what can you do right?! I am so thankful for my sweet mom and all that she does for me and my little family. She has always loved me inspite of me and supported us in all we do!! Thanks for being such a great mom and for being an amazing example of service and love! This year marks the beginning of wonderful things for you!! Embrace the 50's and enjoy all that life has to offer! Love you♥

Games

Last month we also took our boys to their first REAL soccer game and their first Bees baseball game. It was so much fun!! I love baseball and I loved experiencing that night with my kids. I hope to buy season tickets next year. They both got balls from the players at the Bees game along with a small little bat. Soccer on the other hand is not a sport I super enjoy but the tickets were from my mom so how can you say no to free right?? The game was pretty slow for me but it was fun being in the new stadium and we were pretty close to the field. About 10 rows up. We had a good time but I will NOT be buying season tickets for that one!! Sorry to all the REAL fans out there!! Its a game some enjoy and some don't!! Here a few pictures from those nights........

June......where did it go????

June came and went and although I know where I was I can't believe its already over. What a whirlwind month @ the Hall house. It began with school ending and I worked a couple of days after getting all the final end of year filing done and preparing some things for the next school year. We started our weekly movies @ the theater, my nephew turned 3, my Mom turned 50 and we threw her a surprise party. Troy took Trevor to Cub Camp for 2 days. I went to girls camp for a week. Trevor broke his tooth 2 days before I left for camp. We celebrated Father's Day and Troy and I went to North Carolina for 6 days. Wow!! I see how it went by so quickly!! I want to do some separate posts on some of these events so here goes........
